I’m amazed at how many people approach their network marketing business as though it were a hobby. Can you imagine approaching any other career or profession as haphazardly?
Too many people enter network marketing with high hopes and unrealistic expectations of their role. They don’t take the time to learn their craft. They don’t study the principles of lead generation, customer relationship development, customer retention, recruiting, etc… Concepts of marketing such as personal branding, lead capture, list building and sales funnels are overlooked or simply ignored.
I believe that we as network marketing professionals need to help others learn the craft of what we do. Our profession has the potential to impact the lives of many people, but we need to be diligent in our teaching of the trade.
