Three Bad Habits that will Keep You From Succeeding in Your Network Marketing Business

Succeeding in your is one of the primary goals of any network marketer.   As with most things in life, success in a is a combination of good habits and overcoming your business killing habits.

Today I want to visit three habits that will hurt your business and and hinder your success.

    1. Fear of the telephone.   I find too many marketers these days that want the internet to do all of the work for them.  Although the internet is a powerful tool for building your business, it is important to remember that the network marketing business is still a business built on relationships.    Relationships are fostered through interaction and in a world of impersonal emails and affiliate links a live person stands out.   Experience bears out the fact that those who follow up with leads and prospects build larger teams in a shorter period of time.

    1. Failure to learn your craft.   Too many marketers find a product that they “like” and they set out to make their based on this dynamite product they’ve been using.    Sadly, they set sail towards their dreams in a boat that is full of holes, has no sails and a broken rudder.   A product may give you a vehicle, but the principles and skills of marketing are the power to move that vehicle through the water in an effective manner.    I have numerous marketers who call me and want my help.   When I tell them, go through this training module, I will check the module and find that they never access it.   When we talk again, it is the same sad story of how their business is not going anywhere.     This person has not taken the time to learn the art of succeeding in a network marketing business.   They simple are ill equipped to move forward.
    2. A refusal to invest in your business.   I’m admittedly very frugal, and like most people I don’t want to spend money unless I absolutely have to.   I also have enough common sense to realize that if I am going to succeed in my business, I have to invest in it.   This investment takes two primary forms:  Time and money.  Again, I hear from people week after week and month after month who are failing in their business, but refuse to spend either time or money to improve the abilities.   I speak with people who haven’t generated a lead in months, but they won’t even invest $50  to learn how to do it or acquire a system that will help them do it.   Sadly most will spend more money on juice or vitamins or whatever they’re promoting, so they can at least get a meager bonus check back on their personal purchases.    This business is about leverage, not losing money on autoship programs.    I can’t stress this point enough.  If you are unwilling to invest your time in learning and promoting you need to shut down your business.   If you are unwilling to invest your money into improving your knowledge of the tactics and techniques that are going to give you success, you need to shut down your business.   Let me say this loud and clear:  If you are unwilling to invest in yourself and your business….why should anyone else invest in you and your business?????

I see people week in and week out who are losing their dreams and missing out on success in their network marketing business, because of these three things.    Make these three things priorities in your business and you will go far.
