Obstacles To Avoid When Network Marketing Online

Obstacles To Avoid When

Network marketing online is one of the most effective means of building an MLM business in today’s world;  however, if you are not careful, your business may be thwarted by some very common business building obstacles.   Today I want to give you some practical tips to avoid these roadblocks to achieving online success in your network marketing business.  With a few minor adjustments to your work habits, you will completely eliminate the majority of these obstacles.

Killers of a Network Marketing Online Business

One of the primary business killers faced by online network marketers is a lack of focus.   With so many tools, methods and tactics available for your use, it is easy to get overwhelmed and unfocused.   Each new “guru” you encounter offers a different technique or strategy that you “must” deploy in your business.  Each day your inbox grows more backlogged while your head spins even faster.   It is time to step back, take a deep breath and get your bearings.   In the world of online marketing, the power of focus cannot be stated enough.   The path of success does not come through being a jack of all trades, but instead it comes through the mastery and consistent application of a limited number of strategies.   Take a few moments and evaluate your marketing efforts through two primary filters.   What online efforts or strategies have been the most fruitful in generating leads for your network marketing business?  What techniques or strategies do you enjoy working with the most?  Those questions will help you evaluate the methods that best answer the dual needs of productivity and personal satisfaction.   Narrow this list down to your top one or two items and focus solely on those strategies.

Another obstacle to success in your online network marketing efforts is poor time management.   I meet network marketers on a regular basis, who spend all of their time  reading email, chatting on Skype, watching the next webinar and other non-productive elements of their business.   Now, don’t get me wrong, there is a time and place for each of those things; however, they must take their proper place in the overall priorities of building your business.   There really are only two things that we get paid for in the world of network marketing.  Those are the sales of our product and the overrides we receive on the sales of our product by those we have recruited into our business.   Anything that does not lend itself to the process of selling or recruiting becomes secondary in the daily priorities of your business.   I would recommend that you structure your day in a manner that leads to the greatest of productivity.   For example, in my own business I check and respond to any urgent emails first thing in the morning.  I check again for pressing emails around the lunch hour, the rest of my emails get dealt with late in the afternoon.   I do not sign on to Skype unless I have an appointment or late in the day to check for new messages and contacts.   I update my first thing in the morning, mid day and late afternoon.   My is tied to my Twitter, LinkedIn and Plaxo, so that I do not have to duplicate this effort.   The remainder of my time during the day is used for only 3 things:  Creating content, following up with leads and training.

By taking the time to reduce the distractions and obstacles in your day, you can drastically improve the effectiveness of your network marketing online.
