Is Numis Network Imploding?

Numis Network has become the darling of online network marketing over the past year. Many of the top names in online MLM, most notably Cedrick Harris and David Wood, had landed on the Numis opportunity and their presence was creating a tidal wave of momentum and excitement.

Then it happened, last week the viral rumor mill of the online world was buzzing with the news that one of the top leaders and public faces of the Numis Network opportunity was leaving for another company. Then came a flurry of videos, blog posts and round the clock conference calls and webinars. I found out about the “turmoil” through a barrage of emails to my inbox. When the dust began to settle, some were excited, others were scared and others were trying to pitch everyone on the “new” opportunity that a key leader was adding to his business line.

So that brings us back to the original question. Is this company imploding on itself?

I want to answer this from two directions…the big picture and the personal applications that come from this scenario. Let’s look at the big picture. Most network marketing businesses go through this cycle as a top leader decides to move another direction with their business and they invite their team to go with them. The rumor mill always fires up that there is a problem, irreconcilable differences, etc… The reality is that this is a business and a good leader will always look for ways to build a stronger business. Sometimes this entails adding a piece to the overall business model and sometimes it means letting a piece go. In the case of Numis, the leader at the center of all of this “activity” is simply choosing to focus his efforts on an additional business opportunity, creating yet another stream of income. On the other side of this coin is the truth that ultimately you are responsible for your business. Another key leader began a series of webinars and at last count had added an incredible amount of people to his team in the past week. the bottom line is that he took responsibility for his business.

This brings me into the personal application of this whole scenario. At the end of the day, you are the one who is responsible for the growth and well being of your business. You may initially join a business because of a dynamic leader, but from that point on you need to evaluate all other choices with your business through the filter of what is best for you. In the end, drawing back from the Numis Network business will be the best business decision some have ever made and for others the decision to stay true to the course they were already on will be the best decision.
