Being part of a network marketing group is one of the greatest resources that any network marketer can have. Most groups are formed around the concept of a mastermind group. A mastermind group is a group of peers who interact on a regular basis to sharpen one another and expand their own thinking. A mastermind group might discuss a particular problem, with each member describing how they would go about addressing that particular problem. Other times the members of the group might discuss certain projects or initiatives they are undertaking, asking the other members of the group to give feedback and ideas that may not have been considered.
As it pertains to network marketing, groups are generally focused on a few key areas of the MLM business. The first area of focus is generally on the principles of success. In these discussions, group members talk about the daily habits and mindsets that foster success within the industry. On the opposite side of the spectrum, group members will also talk about the attitudes and actions that are detrimental to success. Each member of the group watches over the other members of the group acting as an attitude thermometer for the other members of the group.
The next area of focus is on the marketing strategies being utilized by each group member. In these discussions each member talks about the methods they are using and the effectiveness of those marketing methods. The other members of the group will dissect the strategy in an effort to improve the effectiveness of that strategy. This may include suggestions to modify the strategy, or even new avenues of deployment may be recommended. Included in these discussions will be lessons learned along the way through both success and failure. Acting on the experience and advice of the other group members, the network marketer may then make adjustments to their marketing strategy in an effort to boost effectiveness.
The final area of focus is on the downline building efforts of each group member. In these discussions each member talks about the systems and tools they use to build, train and empower their downline. Each member of the group will discuss their success stories and also their challenging team members. This is a place for ideas to be birthed. Each team member giving their solutions to the problems being faced by the other members of the group. They will also discuss ideas for improving those things that are already working or finding ways to make them more efficient.
To form a network marketing mastermind group, simply seek out 4 or 5 other network marketing professionals who bring value to the discussion. Invite them to begin meeting with you on a regular basis to help each other become better in the mastery of your craft.
