Choosing Good Network Marketing Companies

With so many network marketing companies to choose from, how can you make sure you are choosing a good mlm company?   As you review network marketing companies, it is important to remember that the way a company conducts their business can either build or destroy your credibility.  A bad choice in company could tarnish your reputation for years to come.

Today I want to give you a few guidelines that should help you better evaluate the network marketing companies that you may be considering:

First of all is the mlm company in question a of the Direct Selling Association?  DSA is the national trade ofthe leading firms that manufacture and distribute goods and servicessold directly to consumers.  DSA defines its mission as: “To protect, serve and promote theeffectiveness of companies and the independent business peoplethey represent. To ensure that the marketing by companies ofproducts and/or the direct sales opportunity is conducted with thehighest level of business ethics and service to consumers.”

The cornerstone of the DSA’s commitment to ethical business practices and consumer service is its Code of Ethics. Every member company pledges to abide by the Code’s standards andprocedures as a condition of admission and continuing membership in theAssociation.  The code of ethics ensures a level of integrity and conduct that has been agreed upon by the leading network marketing companies in the industry.

Nest, as you would with many other businesses, a check of the Better Business Bureau’s complaint files is extremely beneficial.  Has the mlm company you are researching, left a trail of unsatisfied customers in its wake?  Remember the level of your mlm company provides reflects directly upon you as the representative.

The next item to consider is the longevity of the network marketing company.   Even though many MLM companies come to market promising big payoff’s, statistics show that the failure rate amongst network marketing companies is substantial.  Take time to learn about the history of the company you are considering.  Have they been around long enough to weather the economic cycles good and bad?  In my own business I have chosen only to work with companies that have been around for at least 10 years.   Their longevity adds not only to your confidence in the company, but to your credibility with prospects and customers as well.

Lastly, take into consideration the public opinions and perception of the mlm company you are considering.  Do a Google search and look at the articles and content related to the company you are evaluating.  Do the articles and content pertaining to the company leave you with a positive or negative impression.  In my own business, I initially chose to work with network marketing companies that were both household names and had favorable name recognition.  I have since added a few others, but still evaluated them using the same criteria.
