3 Primary Prayer Focuses For An Entrepreneur

It may sound absurd that an entrepreneur should pray in order to keep his business afloat and to grow it.

Many people believe that once they do all the necessary things that are required of them, and follow the normal business ethics, that is all it takes to run a profitable business.

The truth of the matter is that the business terrain is unpredictable, and no matter how good your business projections may be, you cannot be sure that you will have all the figures correct, since you are not in control of all the factors that are affecting you business.

An entrepreneur needs to pray to invite God into his business. The Bible says if we commit our ways to God He will bring it to pass (proverbs 3:5-6).

All areas that are relevant to your business need to be prayed over, but mainly these three areas.

1. Pray for the right staff members.

Those who you will employ into your business, from the managers to the cleaners and drivers, has a lot to do with the success of your business. Only one wrong person among them can bring losses and stunted growth.

Only Achan in the midst of Israel made a small nation called Ai to defeat them repeatedly, until he was found out and removed, Joshua 7:1-26.

No matter your level of experience in personnel management, you cannot pick the right person all the time. You need the help of God who knows the heart of men to help you select the best that you need among them.

When you pray, God can lead you to the right persons who have the skills, experience, and characters that you need to grow your business.

2. Pray for the right business strategies.

Every successful business has at least one unique strategy which their competitors do not know or that they are not using, which is giving them an edge over others.

God, the only wise one who created the heaven and the earth knows the best strategy you can adopt that will make your business to stand, and thrive in any challenge that you will encounter in the course of running it. This is called wisdom.

3. Pray for favor.

Favor simply means help from God. Anyone or any business who is favored by God is bound to succeed and prosper in all things.

The favor of God can make your product or service to be the one that people will seek for. It can make the government bring out a new policy that will give your business an advantage over others.

If you are not doing a business that God does not approve, and you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, when you call upon Him, He will respond and help you out.

You can commit any of the challenges you are facing in your business unto Him, and He will give you victory over them. Things that are impossible to men are possible with God.
