Youtube slapOh No, I’ve Been Youtube Slapped!  Whatever Will I Do?

Last Friday I signed into my Youtube account to learn that I was being flagged for having inappropriate videos (an overview of Empower Network).  I had been hearing on my Facebook while I was in Africa, that several of my Empower Network buddies were finding their Empower related videos were being flagged, so I was not surprised.

Before I could even challenge the flagging, I get another notification that my account is suspended for the next 2 weeks for a second violation (a video of me showing off the iPod I won from Empower Network, discussing my plans to attend their conference in Atlanta).   This morning I go to check the status of my account to find that I have been banned, removed and totally shut down by Youtube.  All 400 videos are history.  The sad part is that 90% of these videos deal with mindset and teach people skill sets like building websites, fan pages and using social media with their business.

So today I did what any good entrepreneur would do.  I recorded a video (hosted at GVO) and tackled the problem head on.  I hope you enjoy it….

At the end of the day, every entrepreneur will face challenges in their business.  The challenge is not the real issue though.  It is your response to the challenge that is the real issue.   How you respond to the adversities of your business will be one of the biggest determining factors in whether you succeed or fail in the long run.

Obstacles are simply the opportunity to stretch your creative muscles and find a solution that either goes over, around or straight through the obstacle in your path.   Don’t let the setbacks sideline you.  Always expect the best, but plan for the worst.  In my case, all of my videos are backed up.  I will simply use a different hosting platform going forward.
