“What do you sell?”  That is one of my favorite questions when people find out that I am a marketer.   I often catch them off guard by saying, “I sell myself.”   That is the reality of business, whether it is a network marketing business or a .   The importance of selling yourself cannot be stressed enough.

You have to earn the right to be heard.   No one is going to be interested in your , service or opportunity if you have not first earned the right to an audience.   The currency for earning this right is relationship.  Relationship begins with presenting yourself and the value that you bring to the table.   This is the core foundation of attraction marketing.  It is from this point that your prospects will decide whether or not they want to hear more.

In terms of a network marketing business, people are evaluating you on several points.

  1. Do you seem to be successful in what you are doing
  2. Are you able to help them reach their destination
  3. Does being associated with you improve their chance for success

There are other points of consideration as well, but these are primary.

The way you showcase yourself needs to address each of these concerns.  It is imperative that the interactions a prospect has with you answers each of these questions and establishes a sense of confidence as to your leadership abilities.

There are some key things that you should be focused in on with your marketing efforts.  For starters, you need to demonstrate some level of stability.   If a prospect sees you bouncing from program to program every few weeks, they will quickly lose confidence in you and your abilities.   Stability demonstrates a deep rooted belief in the work you are doing and your confidence in the company you are choosing to represent.

Another critical element is third party validation of your efforts.   This can be easily developed through strategic cross promotion partnerships partnerships and professional network building activities.   The credibility is established when your personal brand is not only being promoted by you, but also by others in your industry.

If you intend to establish yourself for the long term, choose to become your primary .   Your business will be much more effective by taking this approach.
