Which Network Marketing Program Is Right For You?

With over 4,000 multi level marketing companies in operation , finding the right network marketing program can be a challenge.   Everyone says they have the best products, the best compensation plan and the best company support.  I want to help you find some footing as you search for the right opportunity for you.

The place to start in your search is in the mirror.  You need to evaluate the person staring back at you, as they are the one that will make or break any MLM business you enter into.  There are a couple of key questions that you need to answer for yourself as you begin this journey.  First of all you need to determine why you are wanting to do this.  What is the motivation that is driving you to consider network marketing in the first place.   Your reason for entering the business is critical, because if your reason is not a large enough reason to keep you going, you will quit when things get difficult.   You need to put this motivating reason to the test.  If you can think of a circumstance outside of severe illness or injury that would cause you to quit, then your reason is not big enough.

Once you have determined that your motivating reason is big enough, you need to also make a determination that your network maketing business will be the vehicle to get you to that long term destination.   If you are not convinced that an MLM business is the right tool for the job, then go no further.  If you are not convinced of the opportunity presented by this , then you are going to have great difficulty convincing anyone else that this is right for them either.

Now that you have your motivation and convictions about the nailed down, it is time to being looking at companies and their specific business opportunities.  Two great resources for learning more about companies are the Npros website and the Better Networker website.  These two websites will provide you with a brief overview of a wide range of companies.  The Better Networker site will also allow you to interact with distributors from many different companies as well.   As you are looking at companies, consider your own interests and passions.   Look for companies who offer products and services that would be of interest to you.   If you cannot see yourself using the product or service, then it is probably not the opportunity for you to be pursuing.  Once you have found something that seems to be a good fit for who you are, then it is time to begin examining the company.

When looking at a company there are some basic common sense questions to that need to be answered.   How long has the company been in business?  Do they offer marketing materials such as a personalized website?  What type of training do they offer their new distributors?  Look for things like webinars and regular conference calls.  It is also recommended that you check the company with the Better Business Bureau and see if they are members of the Direct Selling Association.   The reputation of the company in the marketplace is incredibly important as it is a reflection of you as a representative.

Finally take a look at the compensation plan.  Does the plan make sense to you?  Could you easily explain it to someone else?  Look at such things as how many generational levels you are able to receive compensation from.   How many stages of advancement are there, and how easy is it for a person to advance through those stages.

Taking the time to complete this process will help match you to the network marketing program that gives you the greatest opportunity for success.
