What Do You Intend To Do With Them?

You’ve been aggressively working your network marketing business and you are beginning to see growth in your organization.   The excitement is building and people are glad to be a part of your team.   So this brings up the question:  “What are you going to do with them?”

Unfortunately, when it comes to building their , many aspiring entrepreneurs have failed to think beyond getting people to join.   This reminds me of when I was learning to drive.   I began learning how to drive back in the days when a car had a large ornament that stood above the hood.   The tendency for new drivers was to focus their vision on the hood ornament or immediately beyond.   This always created problems, because the driver was constantly trying to correct their steering to stay in between the lines or they were missing potential hazards a few car lengths in front of them.

From the very early stages of your , it is imperative that you think through the process that you will be utilizing with your new team members.   Simply recruiting a person and handing them a start-up kit is nothing short of professional malpractice; however, more often than not this is how a great number of business owners handle the people who join their MLM downline.

It is important to remember, that most people joining your network marketing business are not entrepreneurs.   They lack the experience of starting, growing and maintaining a business.   When we don’t take the time to teach our team members the basic skills of building a home based business, we are doing them a disservice.

Any new distributor should at the very least receive a basic orientation when they join the business.  This should include such things as internal departments, upline contacts, sales process and new distributor enrollment.    From there, the new distributor should receive ongoing training in such things as marketing, MLM lead generation, leadership and basic business management.  Giving these basic skill sets will make a drastic difference in the level of success and achievement that can be obtained by those who join your network marketing business team.

With the availability of low cost communications technology, many parts of this equipping process can become somewhat automated.   Live training sessions can easily be recorded and disseminated to other distributors.   The more you can automate this process, the more efficient your network marketing business will become.

Taking the time to develop a foundational process will not only equip your downline for success, but it will also give them a clear sense of direction for building their own network marketing business.
