The Reality of Time Freedom
Time freedom is one of the greatest blessings of being a home based entrepreneur. This past week the reality of that blessing became more apparent than it ever has before.
Last Wednesday I had just finished recording a training video for my ISN team, when I heard a frantic knock on the front door. My daughter was breathing hard and visibly distraught. She had just ridden her bike over to my parent’s house about 20 minutes earlier. She told me my dad had collapsed and he wasn’t responding, she ran home to get me.
I arrived, along with the ambulance, and ran into my parent’s house. My dad was laid out on the floor with multiple fireman giving him CPR. My mom was crying hysterically begging my dad not to go. In an instant my life roles were changing.
Over the past week I have done nothing with my business, but the marketing goes on and the sales continue. It is the blood sweat and tears of the last 3 years that have made this possible. It is this same commitment and effort that have made it possible for me to spend my time preparing my dad’s funeral, putting his affairs in order and taking care of my mother.
At the end of the day, it is the time freedom that I value the most. The ability to invest my life into the lives of those that I care about the most is priceless.
Today you may find yourself “grinding” through getting a business started. Don’t give up! Your struggles today may be the difference maker in the challenges you will face tomorrow.
