Taking Responsibility For Your Network Marketing Business

Taking Responsibility For Your

I frequently get calls about my from potential prospects.   While getting those calls is a wonderful thing, I am also seeing a disturbing trend in those phone calls.   Many of these callers want to know what I am going to do to grow THEIR network marketing business.   The more they talk, the more obvious it becomes that they are looking for me to do the work for them.

Common Misconceptions About A

In reality, these callers are not entirely to blame.  Much of their misguided thinking was placed there by misguided network marketers.   Today it is not uncommon to see recruiting pitches that make promises of “no products to sell” or “no recruiting.”   On top of those promises, there are also others who spend way to much time emphasizing things like spillover.   In the end, prospects are left with a flawed view of what our business really looks like.

A network marketing business is a direct selling business.  The model has been and will continue to be based on the direct sales of products and services through personal relationship networks.   Compensation will always be linked to the sales volume of a distributor and their team.   The larger that team grows, the larger the sales volume should naturally be.   It is the synergy of the team that creates the residual checks that every owner is seeking to generate.   Certainly with the mlm compensation plans available today, there are opportunities to benefit from things like spillover; however, a distributor should not be counting on spillover to build their business.   If they get it….it is simply icing on the cake.

Your Network Marketing Business Is YOUR Business

At the end of the day, there is only one person responsible for the success or failure of your mlm business.  That person is you!  The choices you make will determine the final outcomes in your business.   It is simply amazing the number of people who are not making any money in their business, simply because they are unwilling to roll up their sleeves and get to work.   If a distributor will commit to presenting their business, products and opportunity to no less than 5 people each and every day, they will see results.   If they bump the number of conversations each day, their results are only going to increase.   Our business rewards those who take initiative.

If you are struggling in your network marketing business, it is time to go stand in front of the mirror, look yourself in the eye and ask the hard questions.

  1. How many people did you talk to about your business yesterday?
  2. How many people did you talk to about your business last week?
  3. What have you done to increase those numbers?
  4. Do you have regular time set aside for prospecting activities?  (80% of your business building time should be utilized in this direction)
  5. Have you asked for help in changing the outcomes to the above questions?
  6. Have you followed through on the advice you have been given?

Most people already know the steps they need to take to affect the outcomes in their business.  Sadly, most will never take those steps because they are looking for an easier way.   The reason a network marketing business has such high income potential is because it is hard work.  Those who persevere and do the hard work day after day for a small amount of time, will see ongoing rewards for many years to come.

Before you look for a new network marketing business, resolve within yourself to do everything necessary to make it work.  At the end of the day, you are ultimately responsible for the outcomes.
