MLM Success Begins With Learning Your Craft
How do you achieve MLM success? This question is on the minds of anyone struggling to make it in network marketing. Many enter into a network marketing business with a good product and a great compensation plan, yet they find that MLM success still seems to elude them. Other marketers seem to have the opposite story, achieving great success with what seems like relative ease. So what makes the difference between the struggling network marketer and their successful counterpart? The answer is simple, one has mastered their craft and the other has not.
Imagine a mechanic who has not learned the inner workings of internal combustion engines, or a pilot who has never been through ground school. You would not expect either one of these individuals to last long in their chosen profession. Unfortunately many network marketers treat their businesses just like these two examples. As with any other profession, it is imperative that a network marketer learn their craft if they are to achieve any measure of MLM success.
First and foremost our business is built on relationships. The foundational skill in our craft is relationship building. A marketer must learn how to make contacts, create ongoing dialogue and nurture trust. Relationships are the building blocks of both the customer base and the recruiting activities of the business.
The next key ingredient is marketing savvy. A marketer who does not know how to get their business in front of others will not be a marketer for long. This part of the craft can be made up of many different components. These might include learning offline strategies such as seminars, home parties and product demonstrations. These also might include online techniques such as the use of blogging, social media and pay-per-click advertising.
Another key ingredient to MLM success is team building. A marketer needs to learn how to recruit, train and deploy others as a part of their team building efforts. Learning how to coach, mentor and inspire are key ingredients to this part of the craft. A good marketer learns how they can constantly be adding value to their team to foster loyalty and longevity.
As with any other aspect of a network marketing business, the main variable is you. The methods, strategies and tactics that have built successful businesses have been proven over and over again….it is the commitment to learn and apply those fundamentals that determines whether the marketer will achieve lasting MLM success.
