MeetCheap Review – GVO Takes Conferencing Viral
MeetCheap is the latest virtual conferencing offering being rolled out by Joel Therien and his GVO team. At first I was a little fuzzy on why GVO would be introducing this new product offering, since GVO Conference was rolled out last year. My question was quickly answered once I saw the real functionality of this new service. I was introduced to this MeetCheap during a special conference call last night, during which Joel demonstrated the viral component of this new conferencing platform. Needless to say, I was impressed and quickly jumped on board as a part of the launch team.
MeetCheap Review – Taking Virtual Conferencing Viral
As a regular user of GVO Conference I found myself scratching my head at first. Voice broadcasting…check. Powerpoint broadcasting…check. Video broadcasting…check. Screen share….check. Conference recording….check. The same functionality exists between both services and the price points are similar. For a moment I thought Joel Therien had gone mad and was getting ready to tank his highly profitable company. That all went away when Joel pulled back the curtain and demonstrated the working environment of MeetCheap….Facebook.
What sets MeetCheap apart is that it is the proven systems and technology already being used in the GVO Conference system, but it is designed to operate within Facebook as an application. Now it was time for the live demonstration. Joel directed me to a fan page to see the system in action. Let me tell you, seeing this system in action made my inner marketer drool and salivate.
Here is how the system works. To participate in you web conference, attendees must first “like” your Facebook fan page. This one act does two very critical things for you as a marketer: 1. It enlarges your contact list. Anythings posted in your fan page now broadcasts to the news feed of those who have become fans. 2. When the viewer becomes a fan, a notification is posted to their news feed, alerting their circle of contacts to this action.
From there, the viewer gives the application permission to pull in their Facebook information. When that viewer interacts during the webinar with comments or questions, those things are also posted to their wall and news feed. This viral exposure will ultimately draw others in, particularly those who share common interests.
MeetCheap Review – Priced To Leave The Competition Speechless
Joel Therien has looked to Bob Parsons from GoDaddy as one of his personal business mentors. He noted in watching GoDaddy’s business that they had dominated the domain market place by having the best price. Joel has adopted this same philosophy in his business model and MeetCheap is no exception. The new service will be launching with a price point of $19 per year for a 20 seat room. Rooms can be upgraded to 500 seat levels at prices that are well below the costs associated with other well known providers in the industry.
The conferencing platform is being priced at such an affordable price to provide the opportunity for even the smallest of home business owners to utilize this business building technology. Secondarily, Joel Therien realizes that there is global opportunity with this product and by keeping it affordable, entrepreneurs in other parts of the world can participate even though they have lower levels of disposable income. In addition to a great business building tool, the company offers a generous affiliate marketing program that operates on a 2 x 10 matrix compensation plan.
