How To Choose Your Network Marketing Business

How To Choose Your Network Marketing Business

Today I want to give you some thoughts on how to choose your network marketing business.  Once you have made the to pursue a option, the search begins for the right business opportunity.   With so many network marketing business options available, this process can be overwhelming, so it is my hope to give you some practical to make your search easier.

Find a Great Network Marketing Business Team

Start your search by looking for a network marketing team and leader that you feel comfortable with.   While this is perhaps the most important step in the selection process, it also tends to be the most overlooked.  Ideally you want to join a team that is going to provide you not only support, but training in the fundamentals of building your business using both online and offline strategies.  The training being offered needs to go well above and beyond training on the company products and compensation plan.

There are two primary ways that I would recommend for identifying a prospective team or leader.  The first is a Google search for articles that pertain to network marketing topics.  Look for articles that detail business building strategies, team development strategies and other related topics.   Look for names that appear on a repeated basis, make a list of those names and then search for their blog.  On their blog you will quickly be able to determine if this is someone who can help you build your business.   Additionally, you can go to Youtube and do a similar search.  Watch the video content of leaders who appear repeatedly to determine if they are able to give you business building .  Additionally, video will allow you to get a feel for the style and personality of the leader and should answer the question of whether this is someone you can truly work with.

Once you have identified a few leaders that seem to be a fit for you and your business aspirations, look for them on Facebook and make a connection request.   Take note of the content that they provide to their connections and how they conduct themselves.  Simply taking these few steps will help you quickly narrow down a list of leaders you would feel comfortable learning from and working with.

Conduct Due Diligence On Your Prospective Network Marketing Business

Once you have identified a few prospective leaders, find out about the companies they represent.   You will want to research those companies for such things as longevity in the marketplace, good standing with the Better Business Bureau and public opinion.   Look for such red flag items as civil and criminal litigation or turnover in the senior management of the company.   Also look for indications of distributor satisfaction.

Once you have completed your basic due diligence on the network marketing company, begin evaluating the products and services the company offers.   Are these things that you would personally use or have you had any previous experience with their product line?  If the product is something you believe in and are willing to use, you need to then evaluate the public demand for such products.  An easy way to make this determination is simply to evaluate the marketplace.   A Google search of the product name will tell you a great deal about the public’s desire for the products of a particular company.

Finally you will want to take a look at the compensation plan.  Determine if the plan is easy to understand and get a feel for the way compensation is paid out.   For example you will want to know what percentage of retail sales is profit for you.  You will also want to examine the bonus and override structure for your MLM downline.  Make sure that the compensation plan makes sense for you and your long term objectives.

Taking these steps will not only help you choose your network marketing business, but they will help you find a business that you can grow with for years to come.
