Dealing With Dry Spells In Your Network Marketing Business

Dealing With Dry Spells In Your Network Marketing Business

The process of building a network marketing business is an interesting journey.  Along the you encounter a wide variety of changing landscapes.   Sometimes these changes are brought about by the people you encounter and other times they are just part of the business cycle itself.   One of those changes that every network marketer eventually faces somewhere along the is a dry spell in their network marketing business.

Dry Spells Are A Part Of Every Network Marketing Business

A network marketing business faces cycles just the same as any other business.   There are some seasons where the action is fast paced and seems like it will never end and there are other times when you wonder if you will ever see any activity again.   Having this understanding is one of the things that will help you get through your dry spells quickly, effectively and without giving up.

A Dry Spell Is Not A Reason To Quit Your Network Marketing Business

Unfortunately, the reason so many never achieve any degree of success in their network marketing business is due to the fact that they quit when things are slow.   When you observe those who truly accomplish big things in their business one key quality defines each of them… perseverance.   Those who are willing to stay in the game and “let the play develop” are the ones that enjoy long term MLM success.   Let me clarify this thought for you a little further.   Statistics tell us that the average person who starts a network marketing business stays at it for less than 3 months.    In reality that is not enough time to let things develop.   I find that many of the people who join my business are people I have been working with for months and in some cases well over a year.   It is the patience to let the play develop that ultimately makes the business successful.

So how do you deal with dry spells in your business?   The first answer is fairly obvious…keep working at it.   Having said that, I do want to qualify what it means to work at it.   Work at it doesn’t mean checking your company back office every day hoping that someone has magically decided to come sign up for your business.   Working your business means doing those things that put you in conversations with people to talk about your business.   If you are not speaking with people on some level each and every day about your network marketing business, then the dry spell will never come to an end.   If you will continue doing those things that put you in contact with people, the dry spells will not last long.   This is the same principle that a professional baseball player uses.   They may strike out 7 times out of every 10, but it what happens in those three hits that makes them successful.

Another to overcome your dry spells is to learn and deploy a new network marketing strategy.   Your dry spell could simply be that your current has somewhat run its course.  For example you may need to simply switch out your opt-in offer to begin generating a fresh new flow of leads.   Your willingness to track and split test different strategies will become invaluable to you in making these decisions.  Not only will adding  a different often times move you out of your dry season, but ultimately this will create another source of lead flow for your business.

A dry spell doesn’t have to be the end of your network marketing business, if you will adopt a proper mindset and prepare yourself for the cycles a business encounters.
