How To Make An MLM Marketing Video

Making an MLM marketing video can be one of the greatest tools in your advertising arsenal.  Video marketing is a powerful tool, because it allows the prospect to become acquainted with you in a way that is not possible with textual forms of advertising.   A video conveys such things as passion, conviction and confidence.   These are qualities that can immediately create a magnetism around the person being featured in the video.   Couple those qualities with the sheer numbers of visitors that are visiting sites like Youtube and you have one true powerhouse marketing strategy at your disposal.  The best part of video marketing is the cost.  Video marketing can be done with no investment needed other than your time.  Using a few basic steps you can begin to develop a video marketing strategy of your own.

Start by choosing the topic you wish your video to focus on.   For network marketing, the most effective videos tend to be those that focus on business building techniques and practices.   These videos are generic in nature and focus more on the aspect of personal branding, which creates value in the eyes of the viewer.   Videos that focus on product pitches and opportunity pitches tend to be viewed as "spam" and generally produce less overall traffic.  A quick Google search of business building keywords and phrases should give you plenty of ideas for your video.

Once you have selected your topic, prepare your script.   The best videos are those that are under 2 minutes in length.   Anything longer than 2 minutes and your viewer is likely to get bored and move on.   Your script should give enough information to be valuable, but also create a desire in your viewer to learn more about the topic of the video.  Try to avoid technical dissertations, instead focusing more on practical application.  Stories and examples work well in accomplishing this objective in a video presentation.  Once you have your script written, try to commit it to memory, so that you are not reading in front of the camera.   If you need assistance, then create a bullet point outline that you can follow.

Now it is time to create your MLM marketing video.   Start by selecting your filming location.   Try to choose an environment with limited background noise or visual distractions.   You should also seek to choose an environment that is a reflection of your own personality and style.   Authenticity is key, don't take the "fake it till you make it approach."  It is important to remember that your main objective is to create an interest in you and the information that you are able to provide.

When making your video, be sure to wear something that lends itself to your message and is natural for you.  Your choice of attire can be as much of a visual distraction as the environment in which you are filming.   Again, choose to be authentic in your attire.  If you are a blue jeans and t-shirt type of person, don't wear a business suit to record your video.  Let people get to know the real you through your videos.  Also remember that you are on camera, you need to show excitement and enthusiasm for what you are doing.  If you display a lack of confidence or energy, people will not be drawn to you.

Once your video is recorded, you will want to edit for final production.   As part of your editing you will want to add an opening title that introduces the topic of the video.  You will also want to include a closing credit that encourages your viewer to learn more by visiting your website.   You may also want to add pictures and music to your video.  Be sure that you are only using pictures and video that are not legally copyrighted.

Once your video is produced, you can then upload it to video hosting websites such as Youtube, Metacafe and Viddler.   I would recommend that you consider utilizing tools such as Tubemogul and Traffic Geyser to help you further promote your video.   In your video description, be sure to include a link to your website, where a viewer can go to learn more.

Now that you have made your first MLM marketing video, simply go out and repeat the process on a regular basis.
